Default New Distributor installed (correctly?) in a 4.0L

Okay, so this seems like one of those no brained questions about my '97 4.0l...
I replaced my distributor after my OEM one blew out the shaft bearing and was wobbling more than a college freshman on Friday night....
I followed the install specs and aligned the oil pump slot, the cam gear hole and the distributor housing hole. The only thing I didn't do was verify compression at TDC on cyl #1. I kept telling myself...the Jeep wouldn't run if I was off 180 degrees...and the Jeep does run fine. It just doesn't START fine. I've done the PCM/ECU reset per the online recommendation yet I am still getting weird starting hesitation.

Any suggestions?

Could my cam sensor be off/faulty or do I need to reset the ECU again? Or do I need to wait the full 50 start cycles before the fuel map is ready to go?

Index the distributor correctly.

Start over and do it right.

Look to Cruisers tips, he has the indexing in there somewhere.

What brand/number plugs are those?

Here's a spark plug application chart.

Not too sure the plug number...they went in the trash. I bought the Jeep with 165k and it now has 195k. I was told that the wires and plugs were recently changed (prior to purchase) however looking at that those plugs make me think they were well over 80k on the set haha!
