I have a Thrush Turbo with no tailpipe right now and it sounds decent. When my muffler was split in half it sounded almost like a V8 at idle then at higher RPMs like a Honda Civic. It was funny.

ok cool i have been looking at mufflers aslo and i cant decide between cherry bomb and flowmaster. plus i dont know what size the xj needs.
