8.25 for sure. Need the year to determine if its 27 or 29 spline.
The case lip hanging below the cover is the dead give away between 8.25 and D35.

Looks like a Chyrsley 8.25 to me, but i dont garuantee that..lol

27 spline 8.25. Considered just marginally better than the D35. They switched to the stronger 29 spline in 1997. If you want a direct bolt in upgrade that's a candidate.

The front axle (if not changed) would be a High Pinion D30 with 260 U joints or the stronger 297 U joints if it has ABS.
1997-1999 and some 1996 also had the high pinion D30 with 297 U joints in all.

def a chry 8.25 I have the same one. I got excited when I found it was an 8.25, then disappointed again when I found mine to be 27 spline. still stronger axle tubes though, better than a d35.
