Default Engine Creaking Sounds

I have a 92 XJ 4.0 that when the engine is turned off, even when it's only been running for a few seconds, the engine creaks for a couple of minutes. It kinda sounds like a heat shield expanding or contracting but the noise will start even after the engine has only run for a few seconds then turned off, basically very little time for any heat to generate. Any ideas or is this somewhat common?

Also, I have a touch neutral safety switch, do these give much problems or could it be something else.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Just a thought but is it the oil draining to the pan?

Default not oil ???

No, it's a metallic sound. To me, it sounds like valve springs, or at least in that area?

Stumped ???
