Default My jeep shuts off ?!? :(

my jeeper doesnt wanna run on the road she keeps shuting of when im going down the road ..... any ideas i just changed the distributer cap the fule fliter the flue pump and the crank shaft sensor and it still wolnt die without going a mile please help!!!

Important information such as year, make, model, engine, tranny, etc. would be most helpful. Yes, I figure its an XJ, but year, etc. will help.

when was the last time u change ur plugs cables?Mine did went thru the same problem after driving for 10mins...the last cables were used for 1 month only....got a set of mopars cables and all went well.Regards.

It sure could.

The #1 suspect of engine dying mysteriously due to thermal (heat related) failure is the crank sensor, which you already changed with no difference.

The #2 suspect is the ignition coil. I'd consider swapping it out. You could test it when hot for primary/secondary resistances as well, but because this is a hit and miss problem, testing may or may not be of value here.
