98' XJ shuts off at idle UPDATE
Yesterday I was driving the whole day with the ac on.
I noticed some water leaking from a pipe below the engine.
Today just minutes after driving, I was waiting at a stop light and the engine shut off completely.
I managed to start it up after pressing the gas but it kept happening.
I noticed that my oil pressure was 45 but my temperature gauge showed 110F
It's 200F usually.
I also noticed smoke coming from the side where the cooling tank is located.
I let it sit for an hour after and went to check my cooling.
Note that I've been using water for cooling.
I took a whiff and the water looked and smelled like oil.

UPDATE
Went for a drive to go get some oil.
Jeep shut off twice and I noticed the white smoke again.
Popped the hood and I noticed the smoke coming from the valve cover.
Temp gauge also reached 220
Got back home driving 35 mph without any issues.
When I got home I noticed the Jeep idling at 800 rpm's.
Hope this helps.

Update
Ran the Jeep yesterday. Battery went dead and I got towed back home.
We got it to start and it stayed in high rpms.. about 2000
Today I looked below to find a small leak at the bottom of my water pump.
I suspect that water got to the distributor from the water pump which
caused the high rpm.
Going to swap the pump today to see if it helps.
