Default My ba10 has an external slave

I got just a call from the tranny shop i put it in to have them confirm if it was the slave going out on my tranny. I told him hopefully its the master cause the slave is internal. He calls me this morning and said your slave is actually external on that tranny. Is he out of his mind or do I have some sort of bastardized unit in there?

What the?!? My ba10 had an internal slave... Every ba10 I've seen has had an internal slave? The only transmission on the jeeps I have seen with an external is the later model ax15's

It's internal. Dude is crazy. There are external bleeders for the slave, maybe that is confusing him?

The NV3550 ('00-'01 Manual Tranny) also has an external slave... FYI

The bleeders are the two hoses coming out of the tranny that are connected to anything right?

Was it swapped for an AX15? How does the case come apart? In half long ways or short ways?

I've got the same trans in my truck. Its internal slave.

I have been researching the AX15 swap. If thre was an external BA, I would think I would have come across some info on it.

I think the guy is wrong.

Get a pic, then.

Here is a pic of my bleeder on my BA.

The bottom of the pic really facing to the front, and the bar on the left is my front DS.

This is an internal slave bleeder. Is this what yours looked like?

He just called me back said they made a mistake. What they were thinking was the slave on the bell housing looks like where it used to or has a place for a mechanical clutch setup. But anyway there is nothing wrong with the slave in mine just the master is leaking.
