Is it because you're stuck in mud?
Does it do this reliably in both directions, regardless of speed? Does it come-and-go or constant as soon as you turn the wheel? Can you hear it outside the Jeep?

Yes both directions, I only here it a low speeds ( that's not to say it isn't happening all the time ) as far as inside/outside IDK cause I'm in the truck driving when I hear it
If it was cause I'm stuck in the mud, I'd be pulled free by now
and just so y'all know. I don't REALY do much mudden' these days cause it just so hard on parts. But getting stuck and UN-sticking folks is my favorite part of wheelin'

My '98 does the EXACT same thing. It's terrible, and embarrasing if you have a passenger, lol. One of the reasons I keep WD40 in my glovebox. If you poke your head up under there, you'll see a little U-joint and then a rubberish part towards the firewall. Just spray WD40 all over that b1tch and be done with it for a while. This also only happens to me in the winter. I suspect there's some rubber O-ring or seal of some kind at that spot that shrinks in the cold

Ok this is a bit off, but does PB blaster and wd40 work the same? Even tho I know PB is supposed to be better than wd40 for rusty stuff. Guess the question is PB a better lube as well over the wd?

In regards to PB vs. WD, PB is a penetrating oil designed to help break free rusty bolts and such. WD40 is just a lubricating oil.

Well I've " attempted " it multiple times and always got stuck, so....... It's hard to compete agaist guys running 60" + tires and all. But it's just for the fun of it. Haven't been out the sence 04'
Plus I'm not the type to have a name like " coolest jeeper in the world " hehehe
