messed up lugs
starting the rear end of my lift kit. 3 of 4 top shock bolts and the last one is just stuck, wont break or come loose. i thought i could get a better angle if i took the tire off. i tryed takeing the lugs off and some dumb S*** tightened them to about 300 pounds of torque with an impact gun.
i sheared the head of my lug tool off and now its stuck on one of the lugs.
how do i get the head out and the lugs off?
i dont have any power tools or an air compressor or the money to buy them atm.
any advice?

I would whack the broken peice back and forth until it pops off. The lug nuts should come off with a breaker bar and a 3/4 socket. If they don't, Bring it to someone with a impact gun.

I just replaced my rear axle lugs 5 lugs cost me 10 bucks. If you remove the lug nuts and you notice the threads are stripped then replace them. I wouldn't replace them unless they are stripped.

Ya but being over torqued can mess them up late on down the road. Plusyou said it cost 10 bucks to do 5 of them. I would jut replace them but thats just me.

Heat up the broken piece with a torch...it will expand and you should be able to knock it off with a hammer.
If the lugs have been over torqued that bad you should consider replacing the studs as they may be weakened.
Maybe a tire store near you will break them loose for you with an impact wrench for a few bucks.

still no luck. i asked my dad for help, hes a bit bigger then me and he couldnt break them. so far we cracked/broke 3 sockets includeing the lug tool that i broke. i brought it to townfair tire where i watched the mechanic break 2 impact sockets. all 5 lugs are still on. 5 sockets broken. with stock rims the lugs are ressessed and hidden by the rim. the mechanic said there is no room for a cutting torch or a lugbreaker.
so now im totaly lost with what to do. i have to finish my lift kit by tomarrow and the only way i can really get the lugs off is to chip away at it with heat and a coal chisel. 1 lug is almost done.. ish
this S*** is just.. stuck.
any other ideas?

If those are the stock Jeep lugnuts be advised that they have a stainless steel cladding over the actual nut itself. Sometimes the cladding breaks away from the nut in which case you then have to use an under size (something a bit smaller than 3/4" such as 17 or 18mm) socket. Get some one-piece lugnuts to replace them.
The truck tire store suggestion was a good one. A 3/4 or 1" impact should do it (you would think even a 1/2" 600 or 700 ft-lb impact wrench should do it). There are impact sockets and there are impact sockets...a lot of offshore crap has infested our country nowadays, however, a guy that routinely removes tires from trucks and off-road equipment should have the proper tools and be able to help you out.

thanks for the help guys! me n my dad got em. he drilled out the center of the lugs and studs and got 2 out that way. one was just mashed in there from when we tryed to beat it out. but we got the other two with another cross lugtool and 2 long pipes. i pulled he pushed and when they broke free a cloud of smoke flew into the air. it was very satisfying. (: the lugs are off and i got the shocks and rear leafs off. im almost done with my lift!
thanks guys!
