Default Manifold Air Temperature Sensor Question

So Ive been doing some testing and have replacing some sensors on my 87' cherokee. I just replaced the coolant temperature sensor and I noticed it looks a lot like the manifold air temp sensor. I've been on napa, advanced auto, and autozone's website searching for a new MAT sensor since mine has gone bad, and none of them have it listed. So my question.. are the MAT and Coolant temp sensor the same part? Since nobody has one on their website, can I just use a new CTS in place of the MAT?

They're far from the same sensor. Try rockauto.com

Try looking under Intake Air Temp sensor (IAT).

I searched for the IAT and it seems like the right part except theres no wires that come out the top to connect to the rest of wires like the stock one does

I think they're available but without the connector. You will probably end up soldering your connector on to the sensor.

Alright guys I greatly appreciate your help. Ive been searching everywhere but haven't found the sensor. My solution: buy a new jeep lol. Ive been looking at selling mine anyway cause it's got a lot of rust issues. I'm going tomorrow to pick up a 98 with 4" lift on 33's. I'm tired of the headache my 87' has been giving me.
