Default majorly upgrading

last febuary i purchased my first jeep. it was a 95 red 2dr 5spd xj, by far the best 1200 bucks ever spent even thought it was only 2wd, ive put around 2500 in to it just with stuff breaking, last week my transmission messed up real bad so im doing the biggest upgrade ever which should of happened along time ago, it will be my project also. but im purchasing this:
98 jeep cherokee classic 4dr auto
4.0L
stock everything
46,798 miles
but its been hit in the drivers door, messed up front fender, rocker panel and door, but drives great, do you think this is capable of being a good DD with the body damage, it looks like i can just get the rocker panel pushed back out, and it will definatly become weekend warrior gettin it for $1000. good deal or bad

I'd offer him $600 and see what he says.

What happened to your AX-15? things are built tough and I haven't heard of them breaking unless you use the wrong type of gear lube in them.

You can get a new rocker panel and just cut that one out with a spot weld cutter. Not hard at all. Now how much you have to do to get the new one to fit is another story. Doesnt look bad though.

seems like a decent deal , other then the damage the thing looks clean , you can try to weld a tab to the rocker and use a come along to pull it out and hit the floor with a hammer and try to get everything back into shape , (im a body guy btw) but do not cut the rocker off with out having the rest of it pulled out , you need to relieve all the pressure off of everything else or it will never be right , or if you know anyone at a body shop have them set it up on a bench and measure it out and do the rough pulling for you the rest is cake

have no clue what went wrong, ever since i bought this jeep it always got hung up on 2nd gear just randomly every once in a while, now its stuck in 2nd wont move or anything. i think it might be the shift fork either slipped out of place or broke!

yea the B pillar where the passenger side door is mounted is pushed in a lil bit so the door doesnt close flush with body, so i would have to pull it out to fix that definatly, and the weld tad on it and pull is im thinkin what we were talking bout doing, i hope it turns out good

I would see if you cant get him to come down in price. But still looks like a good deal its def clean. Don't think it would be to bad to fix.
