Default Lockers for a 8.25?

Just wondering what's out there for the Chrysler 8.25 in the way of selectable lockers. I'm pulling double duty so I need good road manners...

Selectable, your looking at arb. I'm not sure if ox makes them for the 8.25.

On top of that, it may depend on if you have a 27 or 29 spline.

ARB is the only one on the market for the 8.25".

  • Chrysler 8.25 - 29 spline, 1.21" diameter shafts, 8.25" ring gear, 3" axle tube - used '97-'01
According to JeepForum.com that's what I have. How do I tell spline count without pulling the axle apart?

The spline count went from 27 to 29 in mid-96.

The only way to know for a 96 is to pull the shafts.

I have an '01. So it's defiantly a 29 spline I take it?

eaton makes an electric locker that will fit. it works like the rubicons but it is a little pricey. i think the one i looked at for mine was $1265.00 for the c8.25
