Default Little black ball

Hat is the little black ball behind the front bumper on the passenger side for? I was told cruise control but I'm not sure... If I don't want to use the cruise can I remove it?

Vaccum reserve canister, not adviseable to remove it. Your heater controls work off vaccum, that little black ball keeps em working under engine load. If you just need to get it out of the way just move it to the engine bay using some rubber tubing to extend the lines if needed.

I was having trouble with my cruise and my vents.

Last week I had an issue with my right front tire rubbing on the corner of the fender. Tore the corner right off. No Vacuum Ball. I put tape over the vacuum line and the cruise worked better.

Today I went to the Salvage yard and got me a vacuum ball. Relocated it to the engine bay. Cruise works and vents work great.

Anyone have pictures of how the mounted the vacuum ball in the engine bay. Mine is just sitting in there right now

Depending on if you use you cruise control or not, mine was broken. I removed it and put the vac ball in its place. Perfect fit

On my '01, I relocated it when I trimmed the front bumper. It fit perfectly between the battery and the fender. I put a screw through one of the holes that was already in the engine bay, and it stayed put. There was a little wiggle room, but I never had a problem with it for about 6 months. I think it even survived the crash lol

My vacuum ball is just sitting about where that one in the picture is. I think i'll zip tie it tomorrow night.

Where do people relocate their horns to?

I ordered a new bumper the other day and I know I'll need to move the horns.

I relocated my horns to the crossmember behind the bumper. They were facing up, though, and they packed the first time I went mudding. Wherever you put them, make sure they face down.
