Ok, so I see quadratec sells light duty, medium duty, and heavy duty leaf packs. What are the benefits/downfalls of each, which models came equipped with which factory? What are the towing limits on each set? Id like to get a new pair of the heavy duties and then do my lift using a shackle because i think that will be the best way to ensure long pack life, as well as I want to use my jeep to tow my weekend/fun/race car which will weight probably 3700lbs with trailer(thats more than likely a max, the car weights right around 3k and Im getting/building an open trailer)

 

just dont forget the heavier duty you go the stiffer tha rear end and the less it will flex. just sayin

 

are you going this route....let me know what you think of these packs if you go this way! I would go with heavy if you are going to be pulling a trailer alot.

 

Buy some alcan springs man they will custom make them according to your specs and they still flex damn good. imo i wouldnt go with quadratec. http://alcanspring.com

high as hell mark up from what ive seen. just my opinion. alcan is amazing. they are expensive but you will never have to buy another set of packs again. i know of a lot of people running them on their xjs and other rigs as well.

Ok, so i looked into the OME full packs, and for 12 dollars per pack i can get a 2" lift HD set. That comes out to be the same price for one alcan pack as both OME packs. Now, are the OME packs true 2" lift, or are they slightly less/more? What Im trying to figure out is, if i order 2" front spring spacers, am i going to be sagging in the back?

i wouldnt think so. 2 inch spacer and 2 leaf packs you shouldnt but for towing the rear would sag a lot quicker.....eventually.

 

yup, that im aware of. I will certainly do a drop hitch, and try to keep tongue weight down as low as possible, but i gotta do what i gotta do. I cant drive a car with no wipers/defrost/interior/hvac/exhaust/dot seats/belts everywhere lol.

 

I have this same question...im sure it will be close to 2"...ill try emailing a sales rep from ome or somethin.
