Default Leak behind passenger side kick panel

Hi all, I’ve read many of the threads about leaks from the cowl, blower motor, and antenna. I’m hoping someone has seen this specific leak before I tear into things.

I removed the passenger side kick panel and I think I can see the path of the water, see image. Seems like it’s dripping from the dash bracket on the far right and down the outside of that strip of silver tape. Seems unlikely this would be from the cowl or blower.

Doubt from the blower but thinking the cowl and antennae are still in play.
Check inside the engine compartment. Where the fender meets the fire wall.
How is the cowl weather stripping?

Also thinking the very corner of the windshield could be in play too.

Hmm thanks I’ll check that spot under the hood when it stops pouring!

Just checked... the weather stripping in this spot looks more like thick putty tape than caulk, and a big section is missing. I knocked the rest off with a screwdriver and will reseal.

It could be coming in around the windshield seal.
I have also seen leaks like that starting at the roof rack holes and running down the pillar.

Mine, in that exact spot, was the antenna cable grommet. You have to remove the passenger fender to fix that. Not a huge deal though.

Had a feeling. I’ll go there after re-sealing that corner under the hood.

Mine is leaking from around the same area! Btw you may want to look under your carpet and make sure your floor pan is not rusting like mine was, had to sand everything down and paint it with POR 15 to stop it from making holes in my floor. I'll plan on fixing this issue once I install my new motor and exhaust system.
