I have water leaking down my passenger firewall area straight from the blower motor area. I can touch the bottom of the foamy gasket on the blower motor on the inside where it meets the firewall and it's wet, with a small stream going down to the floor. It's not my heater core, and I don't believe it's my fresh air intake. My A/C has been disabled for years so no drainage from that either.
So with that said, what have any of you guys who had this problem done about it? I'm thinking I'll open the hood, remove the washer jug, and remove the blower motor (mine's a 1996, not too hard to do). Then clean the area good and put some black RTV sealant all around where the blower motor meets the firewall from the engine side, and put it all back together.
What do ya think?

I'm not sure what you mean by vent leak. There is no water leaking from any vents. Water is only running down the firewall straight below the rubber foamy gasket of the blower motor.

The outlet for the AC condenser drain is right about there. It's SUPPOSED to leak! If that clogs up the water that condenses on the cold coils will drip on the passenger floor.
Or maybe I'm off base. Does it leak when it's not raining?
OK, I see now the AC is disabled. I don't know if water could still condense on that. Does it leak when it's not raining?

Well, I'm trying. Here's the black RTV around the blower motor gasket. I'll give it a couple of dry days to cure and test with a waterhose.
I didn't remove the blower motor. I just cleaned around the area with a shop vac and an air hose, and applied to RTV sealant around the rubbery foamy gasket, being cautious to get none outside of the small steel lip and impede water drainage.

My bet is that's unrelated to the blower. Just shows up there.
Check the fresh air intake under the wiper stems. That area needs to drain. Check that the drains are open.

I hope not. I'm familiar with attempting to fix a leak around the fresh air intake. It's either remove the dash or cut an access hole under the cowl. Not looking forward to either.
The leak I've seen from the fresh air intake dribbled water down the seam on the edge of the firewall instead of down the middle where your feet rests. But I know this is probably all just wishful thinking. I'll find out soon.

OK, I just spent days on a leak there. Maybe I'll find links to two other threads.
I sprayed by blower gasket right away, no leak. But! It may need to "fill" something in there before it drips. Boy long story. I masked three areas. Isolated the windshield. Isolated the cowling. Isolated the hood& under. Like "whack a mole!" (and I'm good at this.) had me cross-eyed and head spinnen.
I guess I had two. One was indeed the blower, I just didn't hose it ling enough on the first test. I just uses siloconised acrylic laytex. I put a long tube on my calking jun to get it applied all around there, then smeared it in by hand. (worked)
THEN! There is a little section of "body" right from the corner and forward that depends on body putty to seal. THAT was my main culperate. Also the hood hinge gasket is right under some "weep" holes for the gasket from the hood to the body...look and you will see them. I sealed them, re sealed that gasket tor the hinge, and most important, hit the seam where the body meets the fender. (Now I regret having cut out the metal cowling to acess the virtical duct down to the heater.)

I stand in front and spray it pretty good with a hose with the hood closed, as well. Man that little gap in the seam between the body and fender really tricked me! Hope you got yours as well.....
