If your talking about a 97+ door on your 96, I doubt it. the 96 and older has the triangle in front of the window that slides down. The 97+ has one sheet of glass, however you can completely swap doors.
With some work Im sure you can put the 97+ glass in your 96, but I think itd be easier to just swap doors, if you put the 97+ doors on your 96 I believe you will need to change the latch on the door jamb though.

I have put in the 97+ glass into my 87's doors. it was alot of work. If you don't mind the newer interior panel design, I'd suggest trying to use the whole newer door and make the latch work. And I'm not totally sure, but I think it's more changing the striker to the new one and not the latch. I don't remember the latches being too close to each other that you could swap them. I could be wrong though.
I originally did it this way for a couple of reasons. 1, I didn't want to remove the old doors because they were hung good and I didn't want to mess that up. (turns out I removed them anyways during the paint job. 2. I wanted to keep the original interior panel to match the rest of my interior.

T50 on my 98, probably just better for you to buy a whole set. Got my set for about $20 at autozone. I bought a T55 for the back seat for $5 a few weeks before the set, I know its a mistake but oh well.
