Default Knocking when turning left NOT U JOINT

I have had a knocking when I turn left only. It's out of my passenger side wheel. I replaced the u joint which was in fact bad. For the next two days there was no noise. Now the noise is back but in a MUCH duller form and it is inconsistent. Sometimes it makes the noise. Sometimes it doesn't. More so at a lower speed. I replaced all the ball joints and passenger u joint. Any ideas?

Have you taken a peek at the brake hardware? Give the (lifted off ground) tire a shake at 6 and 12 o'clock to check the bearings?

Sounds like it's time for a new unit bearing hub on the drivers side.

also check the front sway bar bushings, had a similar issue. Turned out, I wasted money before I found a bad bushing.

Hey all, just got my notifications. I already replaced the sway bar bushings. Nothin loose on the exhaust. I'm worried its going to be the bearings. Why would it be a part on the drivers side making the passenger side knock?

Thanks guys.

Sorry, misread your post. Replace the hub on the side that the noise is coming from.

Haha. Oh ok.

I think I doing it. The spacers that come with the brake caliper are missing from the top side. I think it's moving around until I apply brake pressure.

I know you said "NOT THE U JOINT"... but have you checked it anyway?

I cannot tell you how many times I've heard people say "I just replaced it so it can't be broken", yet sure enough... it's broken. In fact a kid training at the shop i work at just did the drive shaft u joints in his Mustang. Brought it back in the next day because it was making noise... turns out one of the u joints failed. Cap came off.

If I were you I'd closely inspect the u joints you did. Not saying you f'ed it up, but crap happens. Take a close look at it before you assume anything.
