I'm new to the forum and tried searching bit couldn't find what I was looking for. I would like to know part or model numbers for an OEM key blank. I have '99 and '01 Cherokee's. I don't belive either have sentry key immobilizer equipped. Both need a spare key. I wanted to get a pair, and have one cut for each vehicle to have matching keys on my ring. Thanks in advance.
Like I said I'm new and posted this in modified forum on accident. I haven't figured out how to delete post or move to the correct location. My apologies.

This is the non immobilizer number I believe. I’m surprised it’s still available.
$19 on amazon
Thanks, this part number is giving me better results in terms of searching online. I belive this will fit my Jeep but retailers suggest this key won't fit my year. Any chance you can confirm fitment or clear up the confusion?
If the key's head is not grey then you don't have an immobilizer. The grey keys are the transponder keys.
The factory non-transponder key for the later model Cherokee should be 05018700AA
As for the key above, it should work fine. I have several Chrysler products from 94 and newer and all the keys will fit into the lock/ignition *not turn them obviously* but the keys do fit.
You can try adding your VIN at this sight. That should give you the correct part number. This is the only other one I saw. Notice the part number change from AA to AC. That did seem to matter when I did a search. This key pictured I believe is an immobilizer key. Not sure tho. You can always call the dealer with your VIN. Hope this helps
The newer rounded-head key blanks will work in place of the older trapezoidal-head key blanks. I had a '94 Grand Cherokee ZJ that would've originally come with the older-style keys, but one of its previous owners had the newer gold rounded-head key blanks cut for it. They were also cool because they had the Chrysler "Pentastar" logo cut out into the key head.

Thanks for the additional info, I actually started this thread to help me find the vintage trapezoid shaped keys because I prefer them. Specificly the ones below with both a Jeep logo and Pentastar on the reverse side, they where pricey from the dealer but they just screamed factory and I had to have them.
My question had been answered. I orderd the keys I wanted from the dealer and had them cut with the VIN so the edges are nice and sharp, not 20 years worn down. Now they can't be pulled from the ignition with the engine running.
