Default Re Keying Newer Keys

Hey all is there a way to recut a newer key to be like my older model key? I would like to have a spare... The one with the orange circle is my key. The other one was found in a junker in the scrapyard

I had the newer oval shaped Jeep keys cut for mine. I just did't like the big keys.

Sorry, but re-cutting that junkyard key to match yours won't work.
If all the cuts in your key were deeper than the corresponding cuts in the junker key, then it would be possible....However, the junkyard key has cuts that are deeper in some places, and that won't work.
Best to go to a locksmith to get a spare key (or two). Around here they're about $3 each without the plastic head.

I would pay $1.50 at the local hardware store. (I had an all steel one made, no plastic hood. I keep in my wallet. Kept locking my keys in)

Get a couple of blanks, from a Mopar parts dealer. Have them cut at the local hardware store.
