Default KC wiring

Picking up a surco that comes with 2 KC daylighters. It does not come with the wiring harness. Do I need to get a relay and what guage wire should I use? I have no idea if they are 100 or 130 watt. Any help would be great.

I'm not 100% sure but i run 12 gauge and a relay. Relays are nice unless you like electrical fires haha. I have two Hellas as my driving lights and 4 overhead "bajas" that the only thing the same is the housing. Both I run 12 gauge and a relay. Anyone else have ideas? I don't think KC's would be much different.

I put a set of 130 watt daylighters on my Nissan, when i bought em they were new but the guy used the wiring harness out of it. I went to the local O'Reillys and bought a offroad light kit they have, comes with a toggle switch, all the wiring and also a relay, cant remember if its a 30 or 40 watt relay. Also comes with a fusable link. The kit is like 13 bucks. Its worked great for me with no problems and been running it for about 2 years now.

The relays and fuses are rated in Amps not watts. The lights are rated in watts. 12 Ga. wire, a 20 Amp relay and fuse would handle those lights even if they are 130 watt.

each 100 watt light will draw roughly 8 amps, so i wouldnt go past 2 lamps per 1 12 gauge wire. i would personally do 10 gauge, but thats cause i like to over do things haha

If youve got an O'reillys store in your town go there and get the kit im talking about. Its made by Optronics and is a 40 amp kit.
