Just a *girl* with an oil pump question

run it clockwise
you may not get a full prime with the distributor out
run the drill tell it gets hard to turn put it all back together and start it up
look for pressure within 20 seconds if not shut it down

Well that worked. Didn't have to take everything apart. I just removed the oil filter, put the drill back into the oil pump (had to remove the distributor unfortunately) and drilled it until oil came out the filter hole. Put it back together and now she's working! No leaks so far
