isn't that where the NSS goes!!!????!!!! Or is it different on newer years, I've got a 96. Unless the previous owner of yours bypassed and removed it. Do your reverse lights work?
wish I had the tools and knowledge on how to do all that :/ they did give me a reach around! I took it to a mechanic and they dropped the pan and said there wear metal bearings in it so now Im out 1,800$ and I need to buy a new transmission!
Does anyone else find it odd that the only people who ever find metal bits in AW4 pans are those working at transmission shops? Weird.

The metal should stick to the magnets at the bottom of the pan... I'd also would ask the mechanic to shoulw you these metal bearings just for the peace of mind that they aren't about to take your money for nothing...
