Made a thread in the build forum where I asked about this, but realized that was the wrong place for it.

I have the 4.0. The odometer reads ~340k, but I'm assured that it was rebuilt within the last 50k. It idles very roughly. It usually hovers between ~700-800rpm, but dips down to ~500 for about 10 seconds until it fights through it and picks back up. I've done some basic tune up stuff so far, but obviously it didn't make a difference. I also imagine this relates to my atrocious gas mileage so far.

Where do you guys recommend I start?

First, describe "basic tuneup"

Secondly, go to the pink link in my signature and do the stuff outlined in posts 1, 3, and 4.

Make sure your intake manifold bolts are snug.

Ever clean your throttle body and IAC?

What kind of shape are your vavuum harnesses in? All plugged into the correct spots?
