Default intake/exhaust manifold stud size

What is the size/threads of the intake/exhaust manifold stud on a 90xj 4.0?

Number 10 in the attached diagram.

The 1990 Stud part number is J4007462.

This number has been superseded by 53010165, which is a later model stud. The dimension on the 53010165 stud is .375-16/.375-24 x 1.75".

The dealer should have them. I bought a set about two years ago and Mopar America still lists them.

Thank you for the info.

Is there a reason why the threaded part that goes into the head is so short?

Any idea on how deep the threads go into the head?

I used 3/8 bolts all around.

Studs be damned.

The ends are locating studs that stay in the block.. helps with exhaust/intake manifold installation.

Cut the heads off two 2" bolts, use as setting dowels. Snug all the other bolts, replace dowels with bolts.

Just as you do installing the head.

Coarse short threads to go into the head. Long fine threads to go through manifolds and have nuts/fat washers on them.
