Bought a 1994 Cherokee sport and the cluster went out, only thing working is temp gauge. tracked a Blue with red stripe under passenger side dash that had been shafed. fixed wire, but how can i tell if the cluster is bad? before i spend money i dont have to replace it.??

 

Did fixing that chaffed wire change anything?

 

cluster still not working. The last owner claimed to be a mechanic. Had pointed out that he recently replaced the heater core. the cluster is so clean it looks brand new, not even dirty. On another note, the radio is aftermarket and cutting off and on. Trouble shooting that later today after Physical therapy.

 

No,,, cluster is still not working.. I guess I'll have to dig in further.. Mean time i use the DTE read out to gauge gas and my garmin gps for speed. The previous owner installed an aftermarket alarm, self start kind. Going to look at that next.
