I think the window handles will pull off with a bit of muscle and the door openers will come off of the panel when you take out the corner screws and the one in the center, but do not pull them out too far. After the screwed are out, take a flat head screw driver and pry the two rods from their keepers free. One is the lever for the door latch and the other is for the locking mechanism. Just be careful and it should not be too much of a problem. Good luck !

IDK about the XJ, but the WJ has a torx screw behind the door latch handle that you can remove by holding the handle away from the panel.

ON the manual window handles if you push the door card back a little bit you will see a metal clip. Use a flat head or a hooked scribe to reach back there and remove it. After that the handle pulls right off with maybe a bit of wiggling if it's never been off before.

On the door handle just remove the three screws and pull it away at the front and forward. The rear of the surrounding piece has hooks in the rear to engage the door card then the one screw under the handle and the two at the front of the trim ring hold it in. There will be two rods with pivoting clips on the back side. you'll have to push them towards you to get them to disengage then the rods just push down or up to come out. The center part where the door handle is fits into the trim ring and is removable.
