Default Door handle removal

I am replacing my front speakers in my 95 XJ.
I cannot get the handle(manual crank)off.
I purchased a removal tool for "c" type clips, but cannot pull out the clip.
Any tips/suggestions?
Thanks, Bob

You're talking about for the window right? It might be different, but for my 89 you just need to yank it straight back. No clips

ya you just pull right next to where it connets to the door and it should just pop right off and to get it back on just slid it on the grooves and give it a good hit to click it back into place.

Usually, if you are using the c-clip tool, you want to try to push the clip away from the crank ****...with the tool handle closest to the crank ****. Try rocking the tool gently to both sides of the crank ****, and aso try slightly different distances up and down the window crank shaft. If this still doesn't work, try if from the other direction, the PO might have re-installed the clip 180 degrees off. (pshing the tool towards the crank ****.
if that doesn't work, push gently on the door panel near the shaft, and see if you can see the retaining clip...it is shaped like an "Omega"..Greek letter. ..It should be pretty obvious. Grab the clip with a bent piece of stiff wire and gently pull it out. Careful, it will want to run away and hide.
Good luck, HTH!
