Larger injectors on a stock displacement 4.0L doesn't make alot of sense. The PCM controls the amount of time that the injectors are open (Pulse Width) based on input from a variety of sensors including the O2 Sensors. A larger injector will supply more fuel to the cylinder until the PCM determines a rich condition and leans out the fuel by reducing the pulse width.

On a stroker motor the larger injectors are need to supply adequate fuel to the engine.

Make sense?

The ford injectors Frank is talking about are the 24lb. There are also the 19lb ford that work very well on a stock 4.0.
Here is a thread about this:

Personally i have had a positive experience with BMW injectors that have four holes instead of one.
The stock Siemens injectors on the HO engines are ok too, no particular problems.

The benefit of the Ford injectors is better atomization.

Jeep injectors have 1 hole in them where the Ford has 4. It's a cleaner burn, and there is alot out there about it.

Some people claim fuel mileage increases, but that I'm not so sure about.

I know from driving a Jeep with the Ford injectors there is a seat of your pants increase in power.. And that's from a 100% stock motor other than the injectors..

well my injectors are stock and i have well over 200,000miles so putting new injectors, stock or ford would probably be an improvement for me. is there a specific injector you suggest?
