Default Injector/Manifold Swap

Hey guys, I'm looking at doing the 703 injector swap on my 96 4.0 HO, but down the line (or maybe at the same time if I find one at the U pull it) I'd like to do the intake manifold swap to the 99-01 Manifold. Will the 703 injectors carry over to the 99-01 manifold, or will I need to get the 784 units?
Also, with the manifold swap, any changes to the fuel rail or can I use my factory rail? If the only difference between the injectors is plug style, no big deal as I have a source for EV1 to EV6 and vice-versa adapters..

Thanks for any light you can shed on this subject for me!

Not only will the injectors carry over but the stock fuel rail will bolt right up to the newer manifolds.

ok cool, has anyone done some testing numbers on it, like how much H.P. torque and maybe even gas milege, those numbers would give everyone a better picture on weather its worth it to do the swap

jp magazine did numbers on it, but there's no way they're correct....they had stock gears and big tires in the "after" test.

anyways, you can use all of your '96 stuff. you'll just have to move the vacuum connectors around to make yours work.

I'm running the 703 injectors with a 99 intake on my 97, love it. I added an APN header at the same time I did the intake though.

15-30 horses depending on who you ask. Considering that if found in the right place they can be had with all the accessories for $15 and a gasket is like $30 at the most. 45 for 15 horses is cheap as hell. That and they supposedly help to drop the torque peak by a couple hundred rpm or so.

That's the increase just for the different injectors?
