Additives Info
AT 205, octane boost, injector cleaners, Mystery oil, Lucas, stop leak products
I just want something in one spot to make it easier to find in search.
I do happen to have mmo and at 205.. I have not used any of it..
if you do, why? if you don't, why not? if you use it differently, please explain (ex at 205 in a spray bottle for bushings etc)
and please be specific as there are many options.. several lucas products, coolant stop leaks, oil stop leaks, etc
also, instructions like at 205 is basically an ounce per qt... so don't dump a whole bottle in
mmo is like 4oz per 10 gallon in the tank or I think 1 qt for 4 in oil..
if you use more please explain why...
Maybe some reasons.. high miles vs age
THANK YOU
ps. I don't care about scotty kilmer

I have used Marvel Mystery Oil in my engine since new..... one quart at each oil change....I have 218000 miles on the engine and have not had any mechanical problems. I have replace the Rear main seal, the oil adapter seal. The front crank seal started a slight drip and I used AT205 and it did take care of it. I do realize it is just a "borrowed time" thing and will address it correctly soon....probably when I change the timing chain and gears as a maintenance item....
My opinion on all the other stuff...meh....don't really know if it makes a difference or not.

The only additive I ever used in any of my Jeeps is Lucas PAS stopleak in the XJ I've been driving fort the last 5,6 years. It made the original leak worse, much worse, but it's almost cured a different leak from the replacement box when it started after a couple of years. So I guess it's snake oil, like all the others - but sometimes you get lucky.
