It works as well as any of the other stuff. There is a big lucas kick going right now so anything with their name stamped on it is considered gold. I have not seen any better results from any of the lucas products compared to any other brand. I have used it and got good results but like I said not much better than other products.

Well since I sell this stuff for a living I'll jump in I would say for heavy duty diesel engines it's a great product as it seems more oil based than most fuel injector cleaners but for gas engines I don't know if it's any better than anything else.

Ok I think I'm not being clear enough lol. What exactly does injector cleaner do? Does it actually do everything they claim? Like more hp and better mpgs and clean out your engine and such?

Add one after every oil change, only cost a few bucks at Wally World and makes for a smooth idle. Its not a mirracle worker but does help.

I use a quality fuel injector cleaner every 3-4 months. It helps clean the fuel system and optimize the spray pattern of the fuel injectors.
*For real problematic engines, I favor BG44K, but it is kind of expensive
*For preventive maintenance of the fuel system, TECHRON (by Chevron) is tough to beat and is my overall favorite.
*Seafoam has a good stoddard solvent in it which is a pretty good cleaner
*Lucas has gotten some pretty good reviews as well
Absolutely stay away from the $2.00 crap that lines the parts stores shelves. It isn't very effective.
But know that none of this stuff is a miracle worker that will magically increase your gas mileage.

I use lucas and love it!!!! I personally have gotten a major increase in mileage, that easily pays for the product, and saves me money. In my typical highway driving ill get 18 or 19, but with lucas i get between 22 and 23. This is well worth the money
