ignition coil
96 xj4.0 I was poking around my engine bay the other day and noticed the top part of my ignition coil was cracked. Could this be causing my ruff starts and random misfires? Im replacing it next week but are there any brands I should stay away from?

Get an OEM replacement if you can, or as second choices Omix or Delphi. Third choice would be Standard Motor Products. I haven't been thrilled with the longevity of the "high performance" aftermarket stuff. (accel, MSD, anything with racing stripes)
