98 computer issues
Well, I tried to get the Jeep inspected and the place couldn't get it to communicate. They said that they tried 15 times to get it to read and nothing. I went to the local parts place and the OBD II scanner wouldn't read it. Tried starting it with the scanner connected and it wouldn't start. Turned the key off and then on again. Then it started. Runs great! Just won't communicate. Suggestions?

Try removing the computer connectors, cleaning them with a solid spray of electrical contact cleaner, then reconnect.
Also try a spray of that cleaner in the OBD connector under the dash.
