Iffy lube is owned by SOPUS and in many areas uses "pennzoil" filters. The current supplier of those is Purolator.

But I will bet they are built to iffy-lube spec, meaning cheaper than the Purolators you buy retail.

The ones in the Midwest are owned by heartland automotive. There's here arn't penz filters. Cut one open and you find the cardboard and glue.

I had what I thought was low oil pressure in the Jeep I bought, decided to change the oil, and get whatever was in there out and get the FRAM filter off!

I bought 6 quarts of MOBIL1 and a MOBIL1 filter and the pressure is where I want it...up

It is at 40 at cruising and high 20s when at hot idle, the old ****ty oil and filter it was 15 at hot idle and 30ish at cruise...

We should have a contest for the best acronym for F-R-A-M.

Frequent
Runs
And
Messes

My '87 4.0 runs 20 psi hot idle and 25-30 at hwy speed. I was told this is normal and to drive it as usual. Unless, your gauge shows you're down near 10 psi or lower, I wouldn't be too concerned.
