Wow ii getting a crazy deal on a 5" touch screen deck, 6x9,5-1/4 and 3-1/2 speakers, a 10" 800w rms dvc sub two amps and a x over. How's that sound?

Component speakers are good because each speaker only runs certain frequencies instead of one speaker trying to reproduce all frequencies, but the down fall is that they are spendy and reqiure a LOT of power compaired to coaxial speakers, plus they are more complicated to install because they have filters/x overs. But if you want a kickass hifi system then they are the way to go. I personally am cheap and run (4) 6.5" coaxials with two 12" MTX subs, loud is good enough for me.

Me? Napa but I'm in petaluma right now. I don't mind standard speakers if the have a filter on the tweeter. That way I don't have to find a place to mount the tweeter seperately. I shopped around for that set up and I think it will be more then I need. It'll run 1440 watts rms. 100 to each of the speakers plus 40 to the 3.5s and 1000 to the sub.
