i run like 30 psi in mine daily driving them.. When they were put on my truck the tire shop had them at 45 psi and the ride was jaring.. every bump i hit felt like i fell down a flight of stairs on my ***. 30psi seems to be a much better ride.

I was running 27psi for 9000 miles and it wore my out side lugs a lot more then the rest of the tire so 32psi mite be the safer route to go

To properly answer this question. You can use chalk and draw a line on the tire. Drive a little at a given psi. When the chalk comes off evenly that is a good psi to drive on.

Good advice here. And, always start with factory pressures as listed on the door jamb, not the MAX pressure.

door jam pressure is for stock tires, not oversized thicker sidewall tires.

every tire is different, so you will have to go with what you feel is best.

for 31's, i would start around 28-30psi for street, and 15psi on the trail.

i run my 33x12.5 at around 26psi, and get good ride and fuel/tire mileage.
my 36 bias is at 12 on the street, 2psi on the trail.

OP, this is truth here. Yes door jam is for factory tires however since every vehicle is different and every experiment needs a base line the stock psi is a good base line to start from and adjust from there

I agree wit the pressures you're recommending as that's what I run my 31s at. The point I'm trying to make is to use the jamb sticker as a STARTING point, rather than using MAX pressure as a starting point. I am also endorsing the chalk test for whatever size tire/wheel combo someone chooses.

true enough.
the max sidewall pressure is there for use on a very large and heavy truck, so with our little wee 3000 pound jeeps, those ratings are ludicrous.

carry on...

Yep. If you started there, you'd need a box of chalk before you got down to where the pressure should be. LOL.
