Twice in the last 6 months my XJ's horn has started beeping while parked in garage with door closed, parking lights flashing. I am guessing I have an alarm and it is malfunctioning.

I have electric door locks with a Astra keyless entry system and want to keep this but would like to figure how to disable the alarm, if in fact I have one and that is what is causing the horn and flashing lights. First thought was to change the Kaybob battery, but two week later the problem happened again.


Has anyone tackled this issue?

Reviving old thread but did you find a solution? I have a European xj and would also like to get rid of the alarm
