I want to replace all the radiator hoses and heater hoses for my '89 XJ. Does anyone make good kits or do I need to buy them individually? Where's the best place to buy?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Good time to delete that pesky coolant recovery bottle!!
I haven't done a writeup yet but I could get you through it.

Would the procedure include opening the system to atmospheric pressure? If so, I'm interested. Originally Posted by cruiser54

It would eliminate the coolant pressure bottle, provide a regular radiator cap, eliminate the heater control valve and involve adding a coolant reservoir. I've done 3 of them this way.

This should get you started. That recovery bottle was temporary.

Get heater hoses for a 97 Cherokee with a 4.0 along with the Moroso part. Originally Posted by ElMartillo

I used a coolant recovery bottle from Napa but can't find the part number right now.

I'll start collecting parts. My AC compessor is making noise, so I may make this mod part of my AC elimination/alternator relocation mod.Originally Posted by cruiser54

Heater hoses, not radiator hoses, correct? How many are there? Also, what cap fits that moroso part?Originally Posted by cruiser54

Standard 16 pound radiator cap.

Will eliminating the heater control valve effect the heater's operation?Originally Posted by cruiser54
