Cruiser54, I like your idea of installing a cap in-line, but I don't understand why everyone is replacing the pressurized bottle. It should be a more dependable bottle without pressure than the non-pressurizing bottles without pressure. Can't you just buy a double sided pipe nipple that reduces from one i.d. to the other and poke the tiniest hole in the cap of the reservoir? I've never seen a similarly sized reservoir and that space really only accommodates that oblong shape.

Cruiser54 thanks for the reply. I ran the hoses last night and eliminated the tees and heater control valve and pressure bottle. I’m waiting for the Moroso part to get to me on Monday. Just so that I am clear this is going to be spliced right into the upper radiator hose and the small diameter tubing will run from the nipple here to the bottom of the reservoir, correct?
Thank you again. I apologize for all the questions.

The non-pressurizing bottles, too, have a hold in the bottom and top with a hole for the cap as well. A clamped bolt in the hole coming from the side would effectively close that one just like how people bypass heater cores when they leak. One could just put a 90° bent hose on the side one to make a snorkel. Hardware stores sell circular plastic pieces that fit inside of glass or tubes as caps for real cheap.
Either of those would be a really easy thing to do.

Sorry to jump in. I just did a hcv delete without a new radiator that has a cap. I was reading your post and the radiator hose filler sounded like a good idea. would a radiator cap in the upper radiator hose be the same as a radiator with a cap? a lot cheaper too. thanks
