hooking up elec. fan to a switch?

hooking up elec. fan to a switch?
has anyone done this so you can turn it on when you want. I know it turns on at 210 degrees but i would like to be able to shut the jeep completely off and kick it on.

yeah i did it it works great another advantage is that you can turn it off when you go thru deep water so you dont break the blades on the fan
