Default Hood release broke

Long story short... New hood bolted on and it shut before I got the release cable attached. Any suggestions on how to get this open? lol

IIRC you can remove the front clip (grill and everything) then pop it open...there might be an easier way but I dunno lol. Good luck man.

I got a pic of how i got it but cannot get it uploaded. on the passenger side there is a small square hole in the wheel tub. behind the headlight. my fenders are cut enough so i was able to grab the cross bar with long needle nose pliers.
