My 99 with the "new" intake does not have the temp sender on the rear of the head. Wait, your original post says up to 98, I guess you only want 96-98...oh well, free bump

Cruiser i just searched it seem to be 96 it changed cant find any switch for that year besides cts in thermo housing

Yes it is 95 that's the last year. Then they made drastic changes.

Thanks Renegade. These are the answers I'm looking for. It seems like 96 to 97 may be the cutoff?

Okay. Up to 95 drilled and tapped for temp sender in the back of the head. 96 and later no hole and dual purpose sender/sensor in the thermostat housing?
