I attached the split one. No change. It seemed to me like that port I attached it to is closed off?

Edit: that port has a tiny hole. No change in RPM though. Maybe I should get a new hose for that.

If all else fails, maybe reset the ECU

This getting old fast.
I reset the ECU, now the damned thing won't start. Wot crank or anything. Nothing happens.

Removed positive cable
Touched to compressor for 30 seconds
Put back on
Tuned to on(not ignition)
Lights on
Lights off
Car off.

No crank, no power at all, aside from "key in ignition" buzzing sound.

FML.

Edit: when you disconnect the battery and reconnect it and turn the key it starts to crank. Like it does one quick little sound then NOTHING.

Edit edit: disconnected and reconnected battery. Sat for about 10 minutes. Started right up. I'm gonna let it run for a while and turn it off and try and recrank it.

Side note: no change in RPM

Air is supposed to pass through the IAC passage ONLY at idle. Nowhere else. Ever see a screw to adjust it?

I'm fairly certain that the throttle valve needs some clearance from the throttle body so that it isn't scraping on the throttle body. The valve is not air tight, and air will pass it while it is idling.

EDIT: Perhaps Renix is different for your Jeep?

Now that all the bullsh** is over with, back to the high idle.
Things that didn't fix it:
-Cleaned TB
-Cleaned IAC
-Reset ECU
-Check for vac leaks
-Replaced worn out vac line fittings
-Connected 1 of the two random hoses to the charcoal canister

Anything else?

I've read that the braided ground strap that goes from the head to the firewall is subject to deterioration. Would replacing that have any effect?

The butterfly is just supposed to stop so it won't dig into the soft bore of the body but not let air through. HO or Renix.
