i say just say screw it and let the nut stay in there itll bounce out one day sooner or later. but for AAl's you shouldnt have to mess with the shackles anyways just pull the ubolts and center pin

oh okay i gotcha, um im not sure what to tell ya right now maybe cut a hole in the frame underneath where the nut is and try to fish it out. then take some plate like 3/16ths and weld over it of in its place you could prolly fab up a piece that wraps all the way around the frame to strengthen it up a bit. i unno man

i would go in from under the rear seat and cut a hole! this way u dont have a hole in the bottom of ur frame it will be under the rear seat under the carpet! just my 2 cents!

use a sawzall, cut the bolt head off, then cut the bolt between the frame and the bushing. weld in nut. get new bolt.

i think thats what i will do....you think the heat from new weld will make sheet metal around it brittle and break...?

Just be very careful not to burn through it. You should be fine. What my friend did when he had the same issue was make a bigger hole in the frame and weld a nut to a piece 16 ot 14 ga steel (i forget but its thicker than stock unibody) and then weld that the the area on the frame where it broke out, nut in the frame rail.

Ummmm...
If you are installing AAL's you don't need to remove the main leaf.

Just need to undo the center pin of the spring pack

you could try soaking it in pb blaster clean the threads w/wire brush ,and putting a death grip on a pair vice grips on the end of the bolt.then try busting the nut loose. I ALSO LIKE CLAYS THOUGHTS. BUT NEXT TIME IT IS A LOT EASEIR TO TAKE APART THE LEAF PACKS WHILE ON THE JEEP.JUST LEAVE THE MAIN LEAF BOLTED IN ,AND CUT THE CENTER BOLT OR ATTEMPT TO UNBOLT IT BUT THEY USUALLY BREAK.GOOD LUCK
