Tim at Brown dog got busy with orders so my mounts got delayed. He worked a miracle today when I told him I need them asap cause the jeep won't move without them.
Got my shipping confirmation this morning.
Great product(so I've heard) and awesome customer service.
Thanks again brown dog offroad

Also got the dipstick in and the oil pressure sensor on.
Couldnt figure out how to put my alternator where my compressor is(don't use ac) here's the complete engine

And thank ya sir
Got any tricks to reaching those upper bolts on the block that go through the bell housing? I don't wanna stand on my new motor and risk breaking the fuel rail or anything

Funny you should mention that. I just pulled the 4.0 out of my parts Jeep and came in to eat.
I just use a ratchet strap to hold the tranny up and slide them together. You aRE usig different bolts than those morphodite E12s that came out, right?

I HATED those bolts so I just replaced them with regular bolts.

Got the motor in and 99% complete.
Just don't have the radiator shroud on or the o2 sensor( need to extend the wiring for the pacesetter headers)
So I got ancious and had to start her up.
Fist try, backfire.
Tried to re set the timing
Second try, backfire.
Diddnt even really want to start just backfire!
I need some tips on setting that timing. The first time I just rotated the crank until I saw the rotor point towards #1 cilinder. That obviously diddnt work so the second time I took some rubber tubing, put it down #1 cilinder and turned the crank until the piston was holding the tube. Pulled it out and tried it again.
Still backfire.
I'm not good at engine timing lol
Any ideas guys?
