Shouldnt need a special tool that I can think of. What are you replacing that you got the quote for? The radiator or cooler? Either way, if its the rad, just by an all metal-3 core from Radiatorbarn.com or a new cooler from Jegs.com. They both are easy enough to replace by yourself if your the slightest bit mechanically inclined. Good Luck!!
replacing the radiator. the lower trans line on drivers side of radiator has a weird fitting...its not a nut that i can tell. any ideas? are the metal/plastic rads no good?

Not positive, but I believe the tranny line is a "quick connect" and the disconnect tool can be purchased at an auto parts store for cheap. Plastic tank/metal core rads must fairly good as virtually all OEM rads are plastic/metal.
thanks for help guys! i got quick connect 3/8 for lower trans cooler line. successfully installed CSF 3 row radiator, all new hoses, OEM mopar thermostat. jeep is running at perfect temp ALL the time. usually hitting the hills in oakland she would get to 220...now solid 200 all the time. no matter what. its great.
