I guys just did the heater valve bypass on my 1990 i6L AW4,and today things got real super quit with he engine, as far as noise .. I was sure that everything was okay bc last time I checked the closed system bottle, it was halfway full w/ no leakes !! Anyways popped the hood when I got home and the bottle was to the max line . Is this because I turned the heat off and closed the blend door?? Normal -or is it okay to be full like that? Didn't like it so I got the turkey blaster, to remove fluid tell it was half full? What's normal for a closed system as far as the level?
Thanks

Are there not 2 lines....MIN/MAX? I would think the MIN line (motor COLD) would be more important. The bottle should never be empty, if it is, then air is getting into the cooling system.

Motor hot and at max isn't a real bad thing. I would of let it cool and see were it sits after that. I had cooling issues ever sense I got my jeep. I had a fresh motor and the cheap single row radiator couldn't keep up. Finally got a 3 row with triple e fans. Much better. But yeah see were she sits at cool temp and go from there.
