Default obd2 codes

while i was driving down a hill today my engine randomly shut off everything else was working i just had no power. when i got into a parking lot i used my obd2 blue tooth adapter to scan for trouble codes. i got codes p0353, p0352, p0351, and a pending code of p1391. what could be causing all of these to show up all at the same time? my jeep has no history of doing this to my knowledge.

I know what they are. That's why I have my obd2 adapter. I want to know how to fix them.

I'd concentrate on the P1391. Which is either the camshaft position sensor OR the crankshaft position sensor.

It can be either, but when you see only the P1391, (without a P0340) in my experience, it has almost always been the crankshaft position sensor.

The camshaft sensor can be tested pretty accurately with a meter and a manual. The crankshaft sensor can be tested, but testing is not always conclusive.

If you replace an engine management sensor (especially the crank sensor) do yourself a big favor and buy a genuine Mopar crank sensor from Jeep. Aftermarket crank sensors are very "hit and miss" with a whole lot of miss. It's worth the few extra bucks to go Mopar.

Yup, I've used them before. Their prices usually are pretty decent.
