Default Heater control

Hey guys, hoping to gather some information before i dive into this. My heater control works, but doesn't change air flow direction between vent, defrost and the 3rd option. Blows hot, but fan feels like it could be replaced. Is this a simple cable drive to take a look at or???

So were does to blow to defrost I'm guessing? If so you have a broken vacation line somewhere.

One of those Mity Vac hand pumps is one of the best diagnostic tools you could ever waste money on. Besides finding a leak, you can check operation of each actuator and the selector valve.

With the switch on vent or heat, it only blows at defrost, same for the "air conditioner" options.

That would suck to have a broken vacation! But, I think his problem is a bad vacuum line.

Not only that, you can bleed brakes all by yourself with one.

Here's one of my famous photos that appeared on the cover of JP Magazine.

About $30 IIRC. You don't HAVE to have one to diagnose your system. Simply put your finger over a disconnected hose in your system and see if vacuum is present by sticking you finger over the end. Start at teh fitting closest to the firewall.
